[QUOTE=RayfieldsWRX;2745632]Sorry for Fbook redundancy, moon shots taken through my 10" Dobsonian the other night:

So i had no idea what a "10" dobsonian" was till i looked it up. These shots are awesome! Now how does it work though? Is the telescope have a built in camera of some sort? or do you hook one up? I have no knowledge of these haha so i'm just curious. Also, have you shot anything else?

Thanks! I'm pretty much a n00b at this; the pic I grabbed of Saturn looks like a ringy blob.
The manufacturer of my telescope (Orion) sells a webcam that's designed to fit right into the eyepiece holder, and connects to a computer via USB. I capture 20 seconds of video, and then go hunting for frames that look pretty good. I did a little post-processing to sharpen things up and bring out details, and that's it. I'm trying to figure out how to get some better planetary pics..the little buggers move around the sky pretty fast when you're magnified to 240X.

LOL, like I said on Fbook, it's either the telescope or Jay. The back seat area of the wagon is consumed by the tube, and the base only fits in my front seat. Gotta get a tent and junk in there somewhere, too!
