Why do you say that? Powdercoating is supposed to be very durable and last...so long as the quality of the coating job is up to par of course.

Powder coating is the best way to repaint wheels. There aren't too many ways to paint wheels..it's either powdercoat them or rattle can them.

uh.. how do you think they paint oem wheels?

aluminum doesn't come naturally in gunmetal grey like the 2010 wheels do.

powdercoat lasts longer than traditional paint by a long shot. Try removing some without using chemical means and let us know how that works out for ya

Why doesn't BBS just start making some black ones? its become so common for people to paint them, seems like they could just start manufacturing them and make some bank.

I go to the parts department all the time and they have a flat black BBS on display.

Not sure never asked how much. Probably real expensive, maybe thats why people just paint theres or buy used. You can get a really nice powder coat job on all 4 wheels for 300 bucks. I'd rather do than then spend 2k on brand new BBS's. Theres people that say not to powder a BBS, saying it will weaken the metal and warp it. But that bs it's a forged wheel baking it at 400 degrees wont do **** to it.

If you have someone who knows how to powdercoat properly, your wheels will not get damaged.
