I rolled my own for years, and had a blast doing it. A nice blend of art and science, IMO. I'd start making them at 7PM, get really into what I was doing, only to realize that it was 4AM and I had to go to work the next day.

    fixed :P

    which camera?

[QUOTE=The_Buck;2489365]I'm looking at getting a camera, since you all have made these pics so appealing, any direction i should go for which camera? i dont have a whole lot to spend so budget is an issue.

Depending on what you want to spend there are lots of choices that you have. Again it all depends what range you are willing to spend.

$500-$1,200 will get you a good entry level DSLR Digital single-lens reflex camera - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia with a decent lens to start off with.

$300-$600Or if you are not looking to have the options of a DSLR and would like to do more point and shoot style shooting then a Bridge style camera Bridge digital camera - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia is what you want. They still give you some freedom of shooting manually.

If your looking at bottom dollar and still want great results check out the Canon Powershot SD1100. It seems to be the favorite on Flickr: Camera Finder Flickr.com

    Amazon.com: powershot_sd1100

Others that know much more than me feel free to flame me if Im wrong or I am giving bum scoop. I am pretty new to the photography world.
