for weight savings ive heard some actually weigh more... but that could be rumor. i think i heard the only one that actually saves weight is made by like do-luk or something. and even then the weight savings is very minimal. but if your doing it for looks i agree it does kind of look ricey (not trying to piss anyone off just a personal opinion, i know ill end up with one), i think they look the best though when mated with a trunk and other various carbon parts to create a theme so as to not look like you just threw one on. for the hell of it.

Stock hoods are aluminum. The weight savings for a CF hood is pretty minimal at best. I had a Seibon CF hood, but just opted to get my hood, trunk, roof & pillars painted black. I couldn't justify spending all that money for looks. I spent about half on paint of what it would've cost to get a CF trunk. Selling the CF hood paid for the other half of my paint job.

Well as far as Cf goes, you got to do it right and have the right car color imo. Here a pic of a sebion hood/truck on my car.

But im not done yet, I plan on at least getting a full chargespeed bottomline v2 lip set to go with it, and if i feel real spendy I might get a Cf roof. I think it would all go together great. plus cf goes good with cgm imo.

Is that with the new camera Dez?

The carbon fiber looks pretty, but I really don't have the extra money right now to be spending it on that, so it won't be happening for me anytime soon.

    That's really cool.
Thanks. It was totally happenstance - I took my camera because I had some bad gas and had to take it easy and some out of towners were doing a tour.

It is like 3.6 mb so I can't host it on my free photobucket account. PM me your emails and I'll send it ot you though.

I gave it a little contrast boost, let me know if you prefer this one:

ONe of my pets - Bulbophyllum fascinator, a species orchid native to Laos and Vietnam. It has action like a fishing lure - the tongue bobs and the fringes are very animated in a breeze.

    The flower is ~6" long

Reminds me of a lion with a huge tongue and a purple mane.
