That's pretty fresh. It probably just happened and the person is trying to get somewhere to take care of it. Many city folks are mortified over touching a dead wild animal, and that looks like it would be pretty hard to extract.

Otherwise, maybe they want to get home first so they can leagally extract the rump meat and maybe find the tenderloin. Or they like the way their heater works better now.

I hate deer, I wish they would all die. people have this preconceived notion that they're all cute and innocent and we're invading their land(FYI deer populations have grown over 5 times since the beginning of the century due to lack of predators, lack of people killing\eating them), yadda yadda yadda, tree hugging bs etc... but out here in the country they're nothing more than overgrown rats that hit your car and cause a royal PITA.

Turn on the heat and the car fills with a musky aroma that no other air freshener can!

Deer are a sustainable resource that can be extracted from naturalized forested land without having to employ wasteful agricultural practices that are destroying our croplands. If killed properly they have no stress hormones, taste superior, and lack all of the antibiotics and little things like arsenic that the US allows to be fed to meat producing animals. They are cute and they taste good. They live good, we eat.

They're transporters of ticks & lyme disease. When I lived in norcal, my frequent trips to the wilderness w/ my dog brought back ticks. Your statement sounds just like Darryll Hall's interview on Howard Stern a few days ago.

I will believe you since you are some type of biologist.

Deer Jerky FTW. Damn, I haven't had that stuff for years.
