Y'all take some really nice pictures..
Can I propose that we add what camera and settings were used on some of these pictures? I ask, becasue I really want to get a DSLR, and stop using this point-n-click thing I've been using for like, ever...

download opanda iexif, it lets you see what camera\settings\info of most jpegs

for example sonic wagons' lake shot was taken with a canon rebel XTi at f5.6 with a 1\125 exposure in normal program mode at a 100mm focal length at ISO 400 with auto white balance.

it's a really good way to learn and see how other people approach different shots.

for the amateur photog there's really not that much difference in any of them. they'll all take good pictures if you can figure it out. it's more about the person behind the camera, although nice glass is always a plus too(not that I have any). I used to have a 20D when that came out(sold it to get a motorcycle, no regrets ) and it was nice and all. I do miss it in some aspects that made it more efficient and easier to use but results wise, it wasn't any different for what I do.
