    Thanks for the compliment.
    Cool, i'm looking at a D50 myself.

The graphite looks nice, it's a great alternative to new rims.
(I love the license plate btw )

D50 is a great camera for the money. One reason I went with the D70 was because I was given the impression that the kit lens was better. In retrospect, I might have been just as well off to just get the 50 and use the difference to buy a really decent prime lens. I'm a little disappointed with the sharpness of the 18-70mm that came with it.

Ok heres a few from the ALMS race today. I didn't process them or anything. Its hard to take pictures at Laguna Seca, it seem everywhere I went there was a safety fence right in the way of the picture. Almost all of the pics were taken up high at a 15x zoom or more which made it very difficult to keep steady without a tripod.

Risi Competizione F430GTC (which won GT2 class)

Audi R10 TDI in the pits (won P1)

    Penske Porsche in Pits

    Aston Martin DBR9 (won GT1)

    Oh nozzz!

Okay, here's another attempt at HDR processing. Took the pic(s) on a trail off of the Blue Ridge Parkway in the NC mountains. Used a tripod, took a metered shot, a +2EV, and a -2EV. The -2EV got the clouds, and the +2EV got the stonework nicely. F22 in aperture priority. Gives it kind of a "painted" quality.

So how do you put the three shots together. I don't need a ton of detail, just some basics or a reference. You said somtehing about a high pass filter? I would like to try this with some mushroom pictures in the future.
