Thought I would share some of the scenes from our trip to the Smoky Mountains and other areas we're visiting in Tennessee. Some of the images could benefit from Noise Ninja, but, I don't have a copy installed on my laptop yet and we're still on the road; currently in Memphis. Anyway.....

Thank you. Thank you very much. Sorry, I couldn't resist. We just got back from touring Graceland. Elvis was a p-i-m-p, PIMP! I guess it was just the era, but, the decor of the mansion was pretty, uh, hideous. Green shag carpet on the cieling. Wow.
But seriously, I appreciate the kind words. And, yes, Jennifer, we've had a great time, but looking very much to returning home to New Orleans Sunday. I'll share more pictures when I have time to go through the 1500 or so that I've taken this week.
Take care.

What brings you up here to TN? And I'm sorry you have to be in Memphis.

Thanks, Brad, but, Superstar? Man, that's a lot to live up to. I prefer "a guy with a camera and heavy camera bag."
We have the same faves of what I've shown thus far. I really like the curvature of the horizon created by the canon 15mm fisheye in the Seven States shot. The alligator shot is just cool, imho. But, then again, I live down the bayou.

My wife and I have been wanting to see the Smokies for a while and I finally found some time in my schedule to get away from work. As for Memphis, she wanted to see Graceland. I gotta admit, after being in eastern Tennessee for the past 5 days Memphis is a let down. Just not nearly as clean and pretty. Reminds me of New Orleans in that regard. Over in Chattanooga and Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg everything was clean, well kept and well-promoted. In Memphis, not so much.Originally Posted by mike05STi

Very nice pictures. I love the mountains. Usually people who live around the mountains and such start to think "Eh, I see them every day. They are'nt that special." I've lived here for 23 years and I still love them.
Congrats on 24 years.![]()

Awesome pictures! I have been to Memphis twice and I love it down there. If you guys are looking for some good night life go to Beale St and stop in at Silky O'Sullivan's (dueling pianos...and goat's outside that you can get drunk), and just off Beale go to The Flying Saucer (over 100 beers on tap from around the world)

Very nice pictures, I don't really like the green borders though.
