Hey I resemble that remark. Curtis, love the lens, BTW

Didn't want to divulge your identity, but, glad you're diggin' the glass. It is sweet. Wish I could remember what I did with the money, though.

    Damn old-timers disease.

No prob Seth. Just go ahead and post up your PP addie right here. Hell, I may even dig out a lens I'm not using and send it to you...if you make me a sweet deal on an STI Limited.

Back-scratching. It makes the world go around.

    Peace

already started a thread where you can order one through us. Pricing is $100 over invoice.

Our rep told us that even though SOA has not officially annouced STI limited pricing, expect invoice to be $1300 more than a regular STI. 2006 STI's have a typical invoice that is in the $32,023-$32,400 range.

How about a 1D MkII & 70 - 200 2.8L IS toward the down payment, plus my 04 STi in trade? Run some numbers. I'll even throw in a couple of 1gig memory cards + 2 batteries.

However, if you can't do it my best buddy is the Sales & Finance Manager at the new Cool Springs Subie dealer in your neck of the woods. He transplanted there after Katrina. He could hook me up without giving up my camera equipment.

    Peace

    Seth:

I don't want to take this thread any further off-topic; however, there are other areas in which money can be saved on a car deal. Dealer hold-backs and manufacturer to dealer incentives being a couple. What the dealer pays for a car and what they say or show that they pay can be two very different things. Let's just say I've been very satisfied with the deals I've gotten on my two WRX's, STi and my wife's LGT, all from the same friend.

    Peace,

    Curtis

STI's have never had manufacturer to dealer incentives (Dealer cash). As for holdback, I have no problem giving up most of holdback on a normal STI or any other Subaru, but can not do it on a the LIMITED models. Only making 800 of them and nearly 200 are already sold.

Those lenses are going to feel slow and cheap after handling your beast of a L. Anything that overlaps with your 70-200 would probly be a waste and would add bulk to lense that should be a small walkaround.
