Post Processing Experiments

Been playing around and trying see how Steve Demmitt (http://www.stevedemmitt.com) does his stuff...here's my attempts thus far...





I adjusted the levels to give it a more blue/greenish tint, upped the contrast a little, desaturated 50%, then burned around the car to bring it out a little.

but im not quite sure what post processing is. can you give me a brief description of why you give the photos that effect?

So far I like your "before" pictures better. I also after looking at Steve Demmit's site, feel that your photography is better. Your ability to capture the realism or essence of the shot is your stand out talent IMO.

Then again, what do I know...

Post Processing is basically doing more editing in Photoshop to change the look of the picture from how it was originally taken.

Thanks for the compliments. Steve's style is very striking to the eye, which is why I like it, but I also don't like the idea of spending 2 hours per picture in Photoshop

steve is not dodge and burning. hes using strobes with soft boxes and underexposing the ambient light

well some of them are burned and burned pretty bad. his good pictures are deff soft boxes tho

Yeah, the softboxes I know he uses for sure...his Jtuned shoot for Ferdie's Chargespeed widebody was all about them
