    New Pics: NHRA Spring Nationals

Finally finished editing & uploading my pics from the NHRA O'Rielly Spring Nationals in Houston, Tx. We were there Friday - Sunday (3/31 - 4/2) and shot close to 2000 photos. Couldn't do that back in my film days.

Anyway, most images have minor editing (noise ninja, PS - brightness & contrast; Thanks, Armin, for the input on a previously gallery).

Thanks, Brian. I shot the NHRA JEGS.COM Sportsnationals yesterday at our home track (NPR). More to come as soon as I can find time to edit them.

    Peace,

    Curtis

nice pics! I love the guys with the gas masks on to protect themselves from the fumes during warm-up.

Thanks. If you've ever gotten a snoot full of nitro during warm-ups you know exactly why they wear the gas masks. Some hardcore fans bring their own gas masks to the races.
The fumes will take your breath away, cause severe tearing of the eyes, etc. You build an immunity to it over time. But, it's cool as hell when they hit the throttle to set the clutch. The spectators all hop in unison from the sound. Reminds me of my punk rock days when the pogo was the dance of the day.

    Peace
