I've been meaning to try this for awhile, and I thought tonight would be perfect...but seeing as though I'm already lacking sleep, my camera wasn't set right, and as it turned out, my deck isn't the best place to do this kind of pic since I got a plane in the shot. Nevertheless, here's what came out. My settings were all sorts of jacked up...f/2.8 @ ISO 400...but at least I had my remote cable release set correctly, taking 15 shots at 3 min exposure each. I then combined them in Photoshop to create this:
Apparently the night wasn't as cloudless as I thought it was, so it gives a very weird effect. Next time I try this, I'll make sure I'm shooting at probably f/16 or f/22...ISO 400 will still probably work, but hopefully a smaller aperture will get a better straight from camera effect rather than having to throw the exposure and brightness levels all the way down and the shadows up during RAW conversion.

Yep, that's it...although I would've preferred to use the rule of thirds still
