I've never liked the black hoods and trunks trend (mainly the trunk part), it always looks like the person had an accident and hasn't finished the repair yet. Black roofs look good though.

Do the doors too and pop some blue lights in the grill and you'll have yourself a nice cop car.

Nope I am not a fan at all.

Unless it is actual carbon fiber, I think it just looks like fake wannabe carbon fiber. SO you get all of the ugly looks with none of the weight saving benefit.
I put that in the same category as the old vinyl roofs on cars. I have always disliked them (even back when they were still actually popular) because they look like fake wannabe convertibles. All of the ugly look with none of the benefit of a drop top.

Even if it WERE an actual carbon fiber trunk, roof and lid, I STILL would prefer it to be painted to match the rest of the car. But if it were, at least it wouldn't appear to be fake-wannabe carbon fiber.

Honestly, I'm with Greg. Black trunk and hood to me is too much, although it's not bad. I do like personalizing though... I have my scoop painted black, chrome deleted black and the top of my wing wrapped black as well and was planning the roof..

If you're going that route, do the A-pillars and C-pillars as well with a clean break line. Follow that same line around and don't wrap the bottom portion of the trunk.
