Whoa, they use Xpel at the dealership!? That's awesome! I'm reaching out to my dealership to see if they do the same, since I've already got a quote from an 'official' installer; make them duke it out for my service/money.

Yeah, I'm hoping that what everyone says about the paint being super soft isn't as bad as they say it is, but I'm being extra careful just in case.

the "break in period" is the 1000 miles you should go easy on your car so everything seats in nice. everyone jumps to piston rings when voicing their discontent about the easy break in is better thing. but theres more to in than that. the gears in the diffs. the tranny, the clutch. a new clutch shouldn't be beaten on for at least 500 miles and that goes for any car. there are differing opinions on this but I tend to follow the Ph.D holding engineers that designed it when they say vary your speeds, avoid full throttle etc for 1000 miles. some people beat their cars from day one. I don't recommend that. but then again who am I, just a random dude on an internet forum lol.

in the end, forget what strangers on the interwebz tell you to do. check your owners manual. do what it says. you cant go wrong with that.
