    New '14 WRB WRX

Just wanted to drop in an say hi from a wrx newb. I am not new to the modding scene or turbo scene for that matter. In '08 I owned a Evo X that was modded to the T. I am looking forward to the WRX and to see what it can do. No big plans as of now, keeping it simple with TBE, Cobb Intake, and an accessport. Any advice from some long term Subie owners is appreciated. Click image for larger version.

Thanks all. I will post some pics up of the EVO when I get back from work business trip. I got rid of the EVO in 09, pretty much just wanted something different. I then procedded to obtain an 08 350 Z NISMO. That was a fun car, drivers car. I am liking the WRX so far, I drive 58 miles on way commute to work and have been around 26-27 mpg avg on 2 tanks so far. See what happens once I hook up that exhaust, intake, DP, with a stage 2

Welcome. Nice looking car. I almost got that color. I had my dealer line the blue one up with the charcoal one I eventually bought and just looked at them for a few minutes. I felt like I would get pulled over more with the blue one.

As far as advice, I would recommend an Afr gauge with wide band and an EGT gauge. Since you owned a modded Evo, I'm sure you are aware of the benefits.

A common problem on these are a leaking IC to TB hose. They either are not tight or tear/crack. Avo, Mishimoto and Tomioka make great replacements. I put one on with t bolt clamps and am content.

Most people recommend catted downpipes to prevent boost creep. The waste gate does not flow enough exhaust so boost can creep/spike above the targeted boost level. So monitoring boost on a gauge or Cobb AP is advised.
14 sedan Limited: AEM intake, Tomioka IC hose, Cobb AP V3, Invidia down pipe with 3" cat, custom 3" mandrel bent single exhaust, Aem air fuel gauge,Cobb knob,Perrin Pitch Stop mount, SPT front strut tower brace, K-Sport coilovers@1.5" drop.

07 Duramax LBZ- 26psi,intake, TBE, Diablosport programmer, Edge Insight with EGT, EGR block off, BD exhaust manifold, PPE fuel valve.
