    First wash, wax, clay

2013 WRX Premium Sedan: 400 miles in 4 days. I'm really enjoying this car.

It has been filthy since I picked it up. The car traveled on a car hauler from Texas to St. Louis for delivery, so it needed a lot of work. Today it took me six hours to do a simple wash, clay bar, and wax. Here is the end result:

you do it after washing. it removes contaminants from the paint and then you wax. but on a new car no need really. a wash and wax wouldve been easier but doesnt hurt to clay bar it. i clay bar mine every few months but when i wash, i wax after.

It had a ton of crap imbedded in the paint from traveling via rail and then from Texas to STL via flat bed. The clay was definitely time well spent.
