Mikes 13' DGM WRX

Well I finally picked up my new wrx. For those that don't know, I actually won this car through a contest at work (advance auto parts)... There were training courses we had the opportunity to take on Armor all and stp products and if all were completed, we were entered in a contest for prizes.. There were like 100 ipads, a couple cash prizes and 50$ gift cards. Well the grand prize was 35k for a new car... Out of 50,000 employees in the US... 2000 did the courses and out of the 2000 I won.

Needless to say I was in shock for about 2 weeks afterwards...



So after about a month of searching for what car I want, I decided on a new wrx.. My plan was, and my deposit was for the special edition since the dealer computer said December allocation, well December was nearing its end and still no car... I did some digging and came to realize that these won't be out till May and I cannot wait that long.

So I called my salesman on a Friday and told him to find me a dgm limited, fully loaded and get it here this week... He texted me the next day saying they got it and it would be there in 4-5 days.

Yesterday I picked her up with an spt catback and short throw...

Plain and simple...... I love it

Thanks a lot guys. It was definitely a shock to me since the courses we took happened back in July and they told me November 3rd.

Congrats on buying a fantastic car! Great color choice as well. One question, I'm assuming those are winter wheels you purchased? Looks great, enjoy it and let us know if you decide to mod it.

Yes they are sport edition wheels provided from the dealer with blizzak ws70 tires.

For now, ill just flash the stage 1 Cobb tune to smooth out the powerband. Stage 2 will be a long way down the road. Also I'll do a few cosmetic mods.

Excellent choice. I'm still wanting to flash to Cobb Stage I as well but my wife and I just bought a house so I need to hold any mods on the Subie. For now.
