    New Mountain High 2011 WRX

    Hey all,

New posting to the forums, but I've been reading around these parts for some time now.

I was previously driving an 02' Ford Exploder that had been a pretty good vehicle until it hit the notorious 100k. I had these elaborate plans of lifting it and being one of those few third gen "lifted" Explorers that serve no purpose. That didn't happen. I didn't even get to that point, actually. After the tranny rebuild, Ranchos, tires, and a complete front and rear end I was set so far back the truck would die again before I would have the chance to really do anything to it.

To make myself feel a little better I decided to head on down to the MotoSpa and get her cleaned up, at least the with the repetitive waxing and taking care of her at least she looked nice clean. While rolling through the wash I discovered that the roof was leaking, not through the sunroof though, this was spraying in through the light switches on the top unit that operated the sunroof. Unreal... what could be wrong with the sealing now? Maybe the windshield? Ugh... That was it.

I had been browsing along these forums for about a year, always having been interested in Subarus, mainly STi's I had to explore the option! I managed to find a 2011 WRX at a local dealer about a week after they had put it up, with only 13,000 miles I couldn't pass it up. They took the Exploder as a trade and here she is:

De-badged the trunk, thinking about trading for a wing.

Ooh,hang on. That is the throb of a turbocharged flat four engine. A sound which, all over the world, heralds the imminent arrival of a moron - JC.

    Thanks all,

Just got done with my retrofit from TRS. It was less than pleasant but I managed. Also got the angel eyes and broke one on install, going to order another set on monday and install the second when they arrive. The one that I did get in looks great and works perfectly. Pics when I get the second in.

    6000k, turned out great.

Decided to get a couple of the CCFL pics up. Since I broke one on install I plugged the other in to compare the stock vs. after.

Whew.. those covers need some work
