My first post and my first WRX is on it's way from the factory hopefully sooner then later. Not going to do anything really to it besides a spt heat shield and short shift kit and not sure which one at that but might keep it from the spt parts bin for possible less headache and no haggle for any issues that could arise, but my question is for Peters. You have the spt short shift but did you get the sti bushings for it yet? I have read that the bushings make the biggest impact for the feel of it rather than the shifter itself so I was wondering if you got those installed yet. Thanks.

Moustafa, I have the rallitek front bushing and STi bushing in the back. I also have the pivot bushing and shift link bushings from TuninConcepts. They all make a world of difference. It is much more crisp. I also like the slightly shorter stance that you get from the STi lever. It is maybe a half inch shorter than the stock lever but for me it is perfect.

Cool thank you peters. And after doing plenty of searching with this painstaking wait I have, I plan on doing some minor things when my Base Ice Silver Wagon comes in May, I want to do the SPT heat shield, grill cover, a Cobb Knob, short shifter, and cobb ap. And of course winter treads on el cheapo rims.

    Debadged

I decided to debadge the beast today and wash it. It's got just over 2700 miles on it now. I'm so glad I upgraded from an impreza. I have a smile on my face every time I drive!

    Nice!

Debadging my 2005 was virtually impossible

7 years of being stuck on there was not easy to accomplish. It left a little residue/paint scuffs, but you have to look hard.

Thank you. I wanted to get it done as soon as possible to avoid being a hassle later on. I'm just surprised that it came off with a squeegy tool and all the letters stayed intact.

Thanks guys! I saw in a post somewhere in the forums that someone used dental floss to remove them so that's what I did. It worked pretty easily. There was virtually no residue but I used some soapy water to make sure it was clean then I washed the whole car bc it needed to be done anyhow.

@michaelwfox: the license plate frames are on the left side of the home page.

Haha yeah that is the next step I think. Just need to find a good shop and get it done. Also smoke the tails slightly.
