I'm not really worried about spending the money. The way I see it is that I traded in a vehicle I would have paid over $16,000 for (financed) that needed a lot of work and walked out with this title in hand. Even if I end up spending more than that on this car I'll still be better off because I like this car better.

    I like my logic.

Sorry, I'm still asleep. I'd love to put another engine in here in the future!

The one I'm trying to get right now is from an 02 WRX with ~90,000.

you can put an EJ25 turbo block in, but it'll take a tune, and you have to use stock heads. It'll produce more power at lower RPMs which is nice

    Welcome to the Club!
Remember to do the timing belt service on the new engine before it goes in. Whole lot easier when it's out of the car.

They sell plugs for the AVCS oil lines. You could technically use the whole EJ25 longblock, but need to use the drive-by-cable setup.
2015 CWP WRX STi ... But how did I get roped back into an EJ motor?!

I'm planning on doing a bunch of maintenance type stuff to the engine before I put it in including the timing belt.

Gave her a bath today.. that's all I can do until all my parts are here. Man this thing needs paint so bad.

    Holy miles batman!

I haven't owned a car with this many miles on it since I was in high school

Just as it did when it was sold to the original owner.

I had purchased a Jeep Wrangler brand new in 2008. Lifted, tires, bumpers, etc, etc, for offroading. Too much money into a car I owed so much on when all I did was break it. I was due for all new steering, a transfer case, tires, and it was stripped pretty much to bare metal and beat to hell. I lost interest in it a long time ago and really missed having a car. I'm lucky to get what I owed out of that thing, let alone a free car out of the deal!

I've had a lot of cars, but never a Subaru. I'm lovin' this thing!

Hehe, Zax was making a reference to the notoriously bad Subaru paint
I've never seen one so quite as bad as yours, but the paint on the front bumpers go bad pretty quickly.

Damn.. and I was hoping he was on my side with the sparkly paint. I think the clearcoat on this car was made out of egg whites.
