Looks good. I'm getting my 2012 mid February. Dd you hook up those subs to the factory radio? If so, how does it sound as a whole?

Yea, I got someone to do it for me (Custom Enclosures, Bristol VA) because I was weary about ripping out my new receiver lol.
But the bad news is, they told me the way the stock receiver is set up, only one sub hits most of the time?! (Just what they told me, they know more about it than me) But... It sounds AMAZING, especially with the seat down. And there is alot of room behind my subs, but still not as much trunk space as I would like.

Subtle tint job. Looks good.

Yea I know right? But that means I have to get a new box. And I honestly don't have ANY money. I cant see why both of them dont hit. They Explained it to me in stereo language so idk.
As for the trunk space, there's never anything in my car except books and clothes haha, so I don't mind.

I would have mounted the amp on the top or back of the sub enclosure, like the previous owner did. Exposed wiring drives me nuts though, I'm a little picky.
OP,have you heard of the AI sub enclosure? http://www.audiointegrations.net/subarusedan.html

You can only fit one 10 inch amp.For me it was enough.
It mounts to the left side of the trunk in the sedan.

Nice!! I may consider that when I have the money. Those subs and amp were already mine so I didn't have to buy anything, just the install costs. Looks sick though.

I have no idea why only one sub would hit... that doesn't make any sense to me at all.
From your picture, it looks like you have wired in both left and right inputs from your receiver - and are wiring out seperate channels to your sub, so a sub has been assigned left or right. The stock system puts our stereo to the stock speakers, it doesn't "prefer" one side to the other.
I don't know the specs of your equipment, but if it were me I would prefer: Wire the subs in parrallel and only run 1 set of +/- wires to the amp. This would require that the subs in parralllel would be an impedance high enough that your amp can run (usually 2-4 ohms). If the subs are 2 ohm, than you can run them in series - still allowing only 1 set of wires back to the amp.

Doesn't the factory deck have a balanced subwoofer output that is mono?
My guess is the shop tapped existing factory wiring to use a LOC and has a not so good crimp connection, there is a short somewhere, or there is faulty equipment. Of course, after dealing with the local installer hacks in my area, I automatically blame the installer first.
