    I'm with Bo. If you are dead set on an FZ1, get real friendly with the Yami dealer or take a class. Its a sad day when an Italian bike is more reliable than a Jap offering.

    Really, the Yami's are that bad now eh? I had no idea, I just thought the crossplane R1 motor in the Fz chassis would be a hoot!

    Well I know my buddy's 2008 R6 has had a lot of problems. The same as his 2006 R1 before that. Although I can't blame Yamaha for the fact that he treated both like ****.

    Definitely a hoot to ride, but on the bottom of the Jap 4 in terms of reliability. Honda>Kawasaki>Suzuki>Yamaha.

    I've owned the top 3 and I agree with their order. The Hondas were dead reliable, not a hicup.

    absolutely. If I was going to buy a liter bike today it would be a bmw (uh.. have one) a zx10r (yup got those) and my little princess z1000.

    Installed a Jardine GP1 pipe, removed the rear foot peg brackets and took the rear fender off yesterday.
