I talked some friends at Central Performance and I think they have talked me into putting a LS1 or a 6.0 chevy truck motor with a T56 tranny into the car. It looks like it is going to cost way less to do this than the 2JZ swap and they said that they can make the motor mounts and the owner said that he can build the roll cage. So now I am on a mission to find a wrecked 2000ish camaro or chevy truck.

This is just a great, simple lines - dynamic and strong. I remember, the only real drawback is that changes made over little, very little to add to the car's performance....

I love the lines of the Mk2 Supras; very nice. The car had an angular flare that wasn't so common at the time in the U.S.

    Yup, she's just broken in.

    How is the rot underneath?

As far as I can see there is no rust under the car, it actually looks really good. I just cleaned my shed out to make room and im going to start working on the car this weekend so we will see if there is any rust inside the body panels.

I'm jealous. I've been kicking around the idea of picking up a 3rd car as a toy/weekender, and I wouldn't be able to pass that deal up.

I did some work on the car today and actually got the interior completely gutted. I put the seats back in for now but they will be replaced with better ones later.

Duuuude, awesome! My very first car was a white '85 Celica Supra. I miss that car sometimes. We had some good times. Anyway, the 2jz is a good option, but honestly it's such a light car (2700 lbs?) that you could swap a 7mgte into it (easier, cheaper, more aftermarket) and be every bit as happy.
