914'ers COTM show-off thread (because I got yelled at :) )

I think the new COTM thread is a sweet idea. I'd love to use my progress thread as representation, but no one would read the whole thing. I figured I'd just snatch a few of my fav pics and post them up here.

After seeing a couple of the other cars entering (ahem... abbigale... ahem)... I'm not sure I stand a chance.... but I'm all for kicking off a new Club WRX program like this... even if I do lose

She doesn't have a "name"..... but I love her anyway.

2006 WRX, bought new in Jan of 06.... driven daily.... track-raced 4-5 times per year. Here's a recent lap at Miller Motorsports Park: Recent track run: TubeChop - My 12 Feb 11 run at Miller Motorsports Park - West Track (late afternoon) (02:24)

^^^^ Came in 5th out of 11 in the Super-AWD Class that day..... I was also the only WRX in the class full of nothing but STIs and EVOs.... most of them fully gutted, caged, and not even street legal.

Not too many exterior mods... that's the way I like it.... No nonsense, all business.... and clean. Plus, I absolutely DESPISE advertising aftermarket brands anywhere on my car. I intentionally had my Rotora and Brembo calipers powdercoated and re-labelled as "SPT". "Subaru" or Subaru-related is the only brand you'll see anywhere.

Thats just me though. Good luck to all the contestants!!!!!

I "Had" Whiteline front + Rear endlinks..... Broke one of the front ones the very first time I tracked it. Ripped the bushing clean out of it, and broke the bolt.

Rallysportdirect had Kartboys in stock. I needed an immediate replacement, so I bought them to replace the fronts. After holding a Kartboy in one hand, and a Whiteline in another, the difference is immense. The Kartboys had larger bushings that actually wrapped around the edge - MUCH sturdier product.

I received a free replacement from Whiteline..... and just sold them on eBay. Happier with the Kartboys.
