    My newbie attempt at detailing

After a couple weeks of on and off raining, I decided to detail my car today with my girlfriend. We went to local autozone and picked up 100 dollars worth of supply . We got the claybar (meguiars), swirl x (meguiars), polish (meguiars), ultimate wax (meguiars), and some terry cloth/microfiber towel. It was a beautiful day to do some cleaning we started at 2 and ended about 6.

    Steps:
    -wash
    -rinse
    -claybar
    -swirl x paint cleaner
    -polish
    -ultimate wax

    Before:

    After:
Sorry I couldn't get any picture in the sun, it was setting.

Sorry not a great photographer either.

You have a very special girlfriend. If I handed my wife a clay bar and wax to help me detail my car, I'd be sleeping on the couch.

Anyways, great work! The metallic paint really pops.

Hopefully that rain stays far away. Dude that car looks better than it Did from factory. And in only 4 hours.. A great detail job, and in record time.

Great work. SwirlX takes a lot of elbow grease but can definitely improve the appearance, and more importantly - preps the surface for best adhesion with wax or sealant. Your work will last a lot longer so this coat might just last through most of the summer!

Wow, I'll make sure to do the same to mine, after I take it to the paint shop, had a sign fall on my car.
