Sync's 2011 DGM WRX pics (finally!)

So I picked up my car today and here is my first batch of photos.
It is raining like crazy today so the pics aren't the best I could do but I NEEDED to snap some to post. The rain adds some drama I think.

Car details: SPT cat-back exhaust, Short throw shifter, STI leather/aluminum shift knob, Geated front seats and all weather floor mats . Nothing else yet but a tint soon to come and then a proper stereo system.

Need some more interior shots- particularly the height of the STi STS.

I really like it in DGM. I ordered mine in SWP, but it realy was a toss-up between DGM and SWP.

I think they just came out with the SPT for the 4 door. Would have to inquire with your dealer to see if they can order it I guess.

The SPT is pretty amazing so far. I'm still treating it with white gloves during the break-in so I don't know what it sounds like above 4k, but below it is pretty menacing.

I'm not an exhaust note aficionado by any means but I have heard quite a few and this is one the deepest exhaust notes I've ever heard. When I start up the car in the morning, it literally makes things in my porch shake because of the bass of the note coming from the car.

It sounds great in the car and out of the car and isn't obnoxious at cruising speeds at all. It's loud enough that you can hear it in the cabin with the music off, but it isn't loud enough to be intrusive if you want to listen to music or have a conversation.

In short, I think it's awesome.

I use a Nikon D80 camera. I used a Sigma 10-20mm F/4-5.6 lens for the wide angle shots and the Nikon 35mm F/2.8 for the close-up/out of focus stuff.

For post-processing, I use Aperture and GIMP.

the SPT STS is not super short (talking vertical height...base of boot to top of knob). I have the black duracon knob and it's a bit tall. If i rest my elbow on the stock center armrest with my hand on the shifter i'd say there's a 3-4 inch rise from my elbow to the palm of my hand. I wouldn't mind it being a bit shorter.

The actual throw is quite crisp and short, however, and I really like the feel. No regrets for the <$250 I spent on it.

I'm jealous of OP's shift knob though...I really wanted that one with my short throw but they were backordered when I purchased. I thought for sure I'd order one after I got the car, but the duracon is growing on me.

It's a pretty normal thing, really...we get a lot of folks that post for a few months and then move on to other things. I'm sure it has absolutely nothing to do with our butthole Admins.
