    I think he crappd himself then realised he had to do his job... he hesitated for a split second, his thoughts were probably "crap need new underwear, oh yea the picture!! man better go make sure theyre ok"

    I think he picked a perfect spot to stand behind, he also realized that the car is about to swerve into him and moved back, had he been standing like he did while the blue car was passing him the yellow one would have taken him out as well. I think he was quite smart to pick that spot, not stupid or lucky like others have said he was. If you look closely the concrete wall didn't even sustain minor damage so it was quite strong, and obliterated the car, he was just lucky that a piece of debris coming off of the car didn't hit him.

    I'd love to do this kind of photography for Rally America. I think I would have reacted a little more than the photographer though. Some people just have a very firm grasp on their understanding of physics I guess.
