I'm not sure if my pioneer will support custom routes.. I'd like to though.. would be cool to map out a route, burn to sd and then slid it into the nav and have it follow my directions.

Its a avic F700bt.. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have that ability, it uses I-go for the nav software. It works well, not quite as intuitive as the garmin though.

Trying to talk myself into getting the COBB Tune, I know I will love it but I have to justify the money. I need to buy while it is on sale. The wife will let me get it but she does not know why and I think I will get a nag here and there.

The Nuvi series altogether is great... bluetooth sounds nice. I use it on the bike so I didn't get one with the bluetooth since I didn't need it.

If you don't want to do the Cobb since it's expensive, have you considered open source? If you've got a laptop, only need the cable (~$160) and a downloadable tune (~$50)

If I get any it will be COBB the Perrin price is good now. I have used an OBD2 cable and laptop program to read codes on our Forester. A friend of mine has one it does not work on the WRX though. Thanks for the advice though

The product you'd need to run through the OBD2 with the laptop is the Tactrix cable. Open source isn't for everyone, though.

What are the deals Perrin has going on right now?

You can also keep an eye out on the for-sale boards for Cobb AccessPorts... they're an expensive item, so it's best to shop around a bit and find a good deal.

Good luck with the search, you WILL love a stage 1 tune!

They have it for $595 with drop in filter, stubby antenna, one free Perrin map and $.01 extra to overnight it so not bad for new unit

So they're giving the filter, antenna, and map for free.. not bad. I think that's the price of the unit itself direct from Cobb Tuning.

Nice, looks just like mine. I dig the tails, just recently did that too. I do believe they should have come from the factory like that.

cant wait to see the wheels on, I'll get a Idea of what mine will look like when I change mine out. Great pics!
