    Ray's Colorado Excursion - 56K Go 'Way..

Just a few pics from the other week when I took my family out west. I don't say this about many places, but I think I could live in Colorado. Gorgeous, and chock full of Subaru's. They're like Toyotas are here in the Carolinas.

Anyway, enjoy. My usual caveat applies; I am NOT a photographer.

No pics of me...there are enough of those on here already.

The rest are pics taken in that area, on a train excursion, etc:

Looks like your family had a fun trip, Ray

Were you able to hit Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park? I know when I did my cross-country trip, that was the first place my family went (we flew into Denver). It was beautiful there. Got to see some elk and other wildlife

My wife and I spent time up at Estes Park and the RMNP in 1996. You're absolutely right...wildlife everywhere, and just stunning mountains.

Gorgeous scenery, the dunes are something that I'd like to get out and see. That cloud deck in the picture looks rather ominous.

Damn, and you didn't say a word about coming out here...
You need to go to Mesa Verde next time you're around.

The Mesa Verde stuff looks very cool. If we get back out that way, we'll certainly check it out!

Great Sand Dunes was an unusual place by my reckoning; snow-capped peaks, the dunes, desert, and wetlands, all in one locale.

    Very nice Ray.

Colorado is awesome... My only complaint is the lack of any large bodies of water.

I think I already mentioned this, but my girl might be going to Denver for professional school next year and if that happens there's a decent change I'll follow her out there.

I like those pictures of the dunes. I can't wait till it gets cool again so we can head back out to the dunes at Glamis and Buttercup. I think on you tube there is a guy riding a small dune in his 05 sti at Glamis.

Saw some great shows at Red Rocks in the 80's.

Never saw those dunes though, looks like a good choice.
