    Nice, but IMO if they had the numbers showing it would have looked better.

    Yah, I played with incorporating those first off, but the brightness of the digits was throwing off the white light from the needles, resulting in a more distorted shot, less crisp shot...
    perhaps I will play with it again.

    mind posting some camera specs? Settings, etc? I've been trying this with my Nikon D90 but haven't been able to get anything that crisp.

    still need to shoot this again, and overlay a static shot.

    in regard to specs, hmm. i shot it with my nikon d40x, 800 iso, i dont recall where the aperture was but the shutter was open for about the exact time it took for the needles to swing and retract.

    also, i simply held the camera down on the steering column as hard as i could with my forearm and snapped the pic with my finger on the same arm. the other hand was on the key. next time i will try to get the tripod in there.
