    Seattle Snow, 12-22-08

I've been working at home for the past couple days...whenever it snows in Seattle, everything just shuts down. Didn't have a chance to put even all-season tires on any of my cars, so I've been pretty much stranded.

That's about the same amount of snow I got here in Pennsylvania. I hate it but I love it.

I just drove through that same Seattle snow this evening, but luckily have great winter tires on my 09 WRX. Gotta say it was truly a dream to drive even on the winter roads. Had a little fun drifting around the slick corners on Hwy 3 in BC.

It's my first time in Seattle... wow, what a beautiful city, especially with the snow. (Though, I'll be happy to leave it behind in the morning - cuz I'm heading to Hawaii for the holidays.)

    Merry Christmas to all!
Too cold to ride... so I'll drive instead.

Nice pictures, there. Got dumped on here, but it almost looks like you got more. Roads are still crappy, though.

Seattle, especially downtown, is a pretty hill riddled area. Once those roads freeze...its bad news. Anyone remember 1996?

Yeah, 1996 sucked, but everyone's been comparing this latest storm to 1990, when it was absolutely terrible. I remember we had so many snow days that I got out of school for summer break at the very end of June!

My house is in the middle of a bunch of hills, so even if I made it to the more clear, main roads...chances are, I probably couldn't have made it back

You are lucky all we have been getting here is ice, not snow ice. In fact we are getting some more ice right now. I am sick of this bs need to move to florida or socal anyplace above freezing right now.

It actually started here as ice, then came the snow...thus I haven't really been moving at all. Yesterday was the first day in about a week that it broke 32 degrees

Ok you do have it worse. I hate it when there is snow pack and ice. I been thinking about throwing on some ice skates to see if I can actually skate to my car.
