    Yes and they suck. The people that own them wist they had bought the new STI instead. One had the MR and the other had the GSR and both of them hate it.
    When you do things right people wont be sure you've done anything at all.

    That's odd. Most guys I know love their 8, 9 and 10's. They make so much power from basic mods and are fairly reliable (with their being a Mitsubishi taken into account). Most people I've talked to who have GR STI's are a bit let down. I'm not a super huge fan of the Evo's drivetrain (esp. the 6 speeds) but they are far from being teh suck.

    Anyway, the pix are nice, Armin.

    A friend of mine just sold his Evo VIII and bought a 350Z. Though I think he just got bored with the Evo.

    Hemorrhoids, they can flare-up no real present/active tense so the term 'flaring' was derived using an active suffix 'in this case ing'...

    You can like an STI over an EVO or vice-versa, but we're going walking out of the realm of reason and into the realm of feelings (thus the replacement of 'hemorrhoids' with 'Fanboy' in the aforementioned statement) with some of our comments...

    Clear up any confusion?

    Was not targeted at you Rogan, you are actually keeping it on a level plane...

    Cheers,

    ~Mike

    Fanboi-ism or not, the amount of power than can be had from an Evo with minimal mods cannot be denied.

    A good friend of mine has an Evo 8 MR with the following power mods (purchased through us of course...haha):

    * TurboSmart MegaSonic BOV
    * TurboSmart Manual Boost Controller
    * Cosworth M2 Cams
    * ARP Headstuds
    * ARP Retainers
    * Injen Intercooler Piping
    * Invidia Equal Length Headers
    * English Racing Dyno Tune
    * AMS Front Mount Intercooler
    * Exedy Hyper Twin Clutch
    * Exedy Lightened Flywheel
    * GReddy Ti-C Catback Exhaust
    * Invidia Downpipe
    * Invidia Test Pipe

    He got tuned last week on a Mustang dyno with 370 whp/400 lbs/torque on 92 octane pump gas. Amazing power from a stock turbo, and having ridden in his car, it really hauls balls. Evos have their faults (I still cannot stand the interior, even of the Evo Xs), but power is one department where they consistently put Subarus to shame. Die-hard Subaru fan or not, that cannot be denied.
