I think if the centerlines were Convo Pro's he would of been crazy to change them. But I think the Welds fit more with the drag race theme I think her dad may have been looking for.

nice build you guys started there. Just not a big fan of them, Im more of an old school fan of muscle. Im in love with the late 60's early 70's muscle cars.

Welds are hot! Paint is nice. The old wheels should be on a lowrider truck or something .

+1 for going bigger. I dont think it will get in the 11 sec range.

a buddy of mine went from fuel injection to a carb on his fox body and got an extra 50 hp from it. the throttle response isn't quite as good, but it's not turbo lag, that's for sure.

I also miss having an old v8 that tilts the car to one side when you rev it!

From working in a Mustang only shop for many years I say 13s. Maybe high 12s on a good day. I would have stuck w/FI. But I love efficiency. FI 5.0s w/turbos = super nasty fun.
I work on vehicles that make 650hp and 2400ft/lbs.

I have a 1990 5.0 Mustang. I'll admit that it's a badly engineered chassis from the factory and I've had nothing but problems with it ever since I've got it... but for some reason I just LOVE it, every Mustang hater I've known has liked it after riding in it even though mine is still stock. There's just something about them after you get to ride in one. I never wanted one until I got to ride in my old roommates black 5.0 and after that I got mine a couple months after that.

Bump for updates, I'm curious to see what he's done with it. I to used to have a stang, but mine was a 98 GT (not as cool as a fox) but I put 191k mi on it so it was a trooper.

Looks good, love seeing T-5 driven Notchbacks running down the track...as most Mustang owners run a slushbox.
