Hey, ive been very inactive on here lately.
Yesterday, I took some photos of my friend's 2007 WRX (boardinshorty81). Some of them turned out better than i thought. This is my first real attempt at taking decent photos. Tell me what you think of these.
I would like some suggestions. What did I do wrong? How can I improve my photography? And where should I go for tutorials for HDR? Any other general pointers? Any pointers will be great.

Nice pics man. I'm not an expert on photography but in my opinion you are doing a great job. I particularly enjoyed the location and the picture that you took with the car on movement.
That's was nice. Beautiful car by the way.![]()
Searching for a 2001 or a 2003 WRX.

Thank you guys. I really liked the scenery too. Perfectly overlooking the river.
The car is a beautiful car. It belongs to another member on here, boardinshorty81.

youre off to a good start. you seem to have a nice camera to work with. i think the lighting effects in the 2nd and 3rd picture are a little much. i dont know if that was a camera setting or a photoshop, but natural light would look best.
also, in the 5th picture, make sure you watch your composition. you cut off the front end of the car, even though you had plenty of room on the right side of the guy =)
just constructive criticism. youre doing great though

thanks for your input. I really appreciate it. Im using a Sony Alpha.
And youre right, the second and third pictures have over blown highlights. I noticed that when i got home. I didnt realize it but i was taking those pictures with high contrast and high sharpness settings on the camera. I tried to fix it with photoshop but lost all the detail in whites.
As for the fifth picture, it was just a random pic I snapped then ended up liking.
Thanks! And its the constructive criticism that will make my photos better so keep it coming![]()
nice pictures and thanks for posting. I have a black '06 limited and was trying to find some examples of gold wheels on black look. Im probably going to go with the rota SVNs (Volk RE30 knockoff) in the gold.
anyway, nice shots.
Yea, I love the pictures too. It is my car lol, but it is really nice to actually have pictures do the wrx some justice. I am looking forward to getting tint then taking some more. Thanks though for all the comment.
