    Just gotta new camera

I finally made the leap to an SLR. Haven't owned one for about 10 years so I kinda suk I know some came out a little underexposed, just playing w/ the setting. No editing except blurring the license plate. Hope you like and any advice is welcome. Enjoy!

The second-to-last pic could use some fill-flash. Very nice pics overall.

Get a polarizing filter for those outdoor shots...you'll be amazed how much better they turn out.

Polarizing filter FTW. Helps immensely, not to mention it's one more layer from an expensive lens that's expensive to repair when scratched or dropped. I've always got a UV filter on my lenses for that exact reason, even when not using the polarizer. A few bucks to replace a UV filter is much nicer than buying a new lens.

A great lens to get that is also cheap is the Nifty 50... Fixed 50mm ES lens with a f1.8-f22. its a SUPER Fast lens and when i bought mine it was only $130.

wide open with the polarizing filter you can get some great shots upclose!

Ironically enough I just picked up that lens, unfortunately I've already sold the car and really have no motivation to drive a gas guzzling Expedition (my friend's SUV that I'm borrowing until I leave to go to Korea) out to the hills for more pics...

Maybe if a certain Sk8er would do something other then drink on the weekends, I might be able to get some good shots...
