    I need a new camera...

Well the camera I've been using just broke. My LCD screen somehow cracked (can't remember when or how) and is now FUBAR. So I'm thinking of saving up for another, but I'm not sure exactly what I want. I would like some kind of camera that I can manually adjust settings for. The previous one had pre-made options for night shots, but they they never came out the way I wanted them to. So I'm just looking for a camera that has a lot of features and that I can still take to parties etc. I'm in the price range of say $200-$350?

Have it, good camera. Also has full manual adjust, to a point. If you need anything more it's probably going to be out of your range, in terms of manual settings. Most of the point and shoot cameras will work like this one. Above that you have the SLRs and I'm not sure what the low end SLRs run.

if you don't feel comfortable with DSLR yet, get sometihing like Fuji Finepix S5000 or some newer model. Pretty good camera but once you get the hang of photography it may limit you at some point. But for basic manual setup and P&S it's neat.
