Its time for a new point and shoot digi camera. I have a konica right now with about 4 megapixels. Its nice and all but encountering a few problems here and there, so its time for a change.
Im by no means any good with photography. Will just use this camera to capture the moment and snap some cool shots.
Im in the price range of $500.

i'm a big fan of the canon powershot series.
been using the olympus stylus ###'s for 2+ yrs now and its been good to me.
have you ever been 4 bagged ???
We talking indoor or nature type shots.
I like the Panasonic FZ series, but the long zoom will be useless indoors.

its 5 MP, and has a macro mode that will let you focus on something 1.5" away!
it also has really good glass, and some of the best compression you can get.
I've actually used the camera to shoot some headshots for my girlfriend, and they turned out great. blew up to 8x10 with no problems.

Anyway, there are several good options out there, I'd go to dpreview.com and stevesdigitalcamera.com. I like steves better than dpreview, mainly because the dpreview site is a pain to navigate. Post on steves and they'll give you some good help.Originally Posted by uncle lewie wrx

For pooint and shoot, I really like the Canon powershot series. the s and SD series are really good. The s-80 and the sd-550 are really good cameras for point and shoot.
