Naw, Andy, your gear isn't old. It's CLASSIC! The Canon EOS 1D is still among the best digital SLRs in the world and are highly coveted among pro sports and PJ shooters. And, at the current price of <$1k, they are a bargain. Consider the capabilities of the 1D compared to say, a digi-rebel, at about the same cost. No contest. 1D wins going away. Until you shoot with a pro camera, you just don't know. I mean, you know, you know. They make everything else feel like toys.Originally Posted by Weasel 555
As for the G5, I would love to have one; never heard anything but good suff about that camera. 20Ds make great images, as well and are of a higher build quality than the entry-level digi-SLRs.
Enjoy your classics. They'll be around a lot longer than many of the new digi-SLRs on the market now.
I love the reflection of you on the camera lense glass!Originally Posted by Quack
