Twisty Monster - 335 ft/lb of torque @ 3600 rpm on a stock turbo. Is that possible? Yes it is.
Hmmm... I guess a better question then, is, what's the 0 to 6 time.Originally Posted by ScoobVee

Sweet just needs a turbo.![]()
Man, somehow I didn't get a notice that there were replies here.
How fast? Vespa says 59, but most go an indicated 60-65. After I get it broke in, I'll put the GPS on it and have an actual.
0-60? I don't know yet. Faster than never. It gets up to 40 in just a few seconds. Acceleration is quite fast. Faster than most cars. Tiny wheels give good acceleration.I'd guess in under 10 seconds, which is what my VW Scirocco was!
How much? This one's MSRP is $4199. Out the door with tax, delivery, etc. was $4875
Vegan: I'd rather have a classic shifter scoot. but my wife and daughter both expressed an interest in riding. The goal is to have the LX 150 in such demand that I can get a second scooter. You've got a really nice on there. I phsyched myself into going to the dealer by watching Quadrophenia the night before.
They are not mopeds. They are motorscooters, and are insured and licensed as motorcycles in most states. Mine is $142/year with $100 deductible.
Accessories are like the WRX. I can get a bigger cylinder (190 cc, about a 30% increase) bigger carb, reprogrammed CDI, better clutch and variator (the tranny on a CVT drive) and more.

Nice choice, Steve. Given current circumstances with gas, I've considered getting something like that. Problem is that to make difference, I'd have to drive my work commute on it, and I'm a little nervous about doing the 30 miles round trip on it on a regular basis. People around here are pretty scary drivers at rush hour.![]()
I've thought about scooters, and then I've also thought about some smaller displacement motorcycles, 250 or 500cc models.
