First Wedding shots (as a backup)

One of my friends got married this past thursday and he asked me to shoot as much of the wedding I could without getting in the photographers way. Here are a few I liked. All the photos can be found here http://photos.forcephotography.com/Weddings

This one may need a bit more sharpening or less soft- focus

I need to finish fixing the water and sky on this one

Nice pics. I guess the "soft focus" as you called it is the norm for wedding photos?

ya, I don't know. I see alot of wedding photogs use it and the bride and groom showed me some pics they liked so I tried to emulate them to an extent but I think I overdid the soft focus a tad and I will be editing them over tonight with just less of the same effect.

what equiptment were you using besides the 20d?

17-40 F4L
Sigma 500DG Super
some circular polarizers and a lightsphere2 flash difuser

Holy crap, that chapel looks just like the chapel at my High School (Belmont Hill School)

the chapel was actually bought by the school 70 years ago, and moved from Hamilton Connecticut. most of those old CT chapels look similar, but this is like a carbon copy!
