    D30 or 300D

well, was looking at cameras and noticed the D30 body is really cheap which means i can buy a really good lense, but then i THINK the 300D shoots better. this would be my first DSLR also. its either between these 2 cameras or a Nikon Coolpix 4300.

I would personally get the D Rebel. Simply for the fact that now that the Rebel XT is out the D Rebel is cheap, even with the kit lens included. It fits both EF and EF-S lens types and is double the megapixel resolution than the D30.

I have the D Rebel and love it, you won't be disappointed.
