Nevermind, I figured it out. Just incase someone else wants to know, here's what I did.
Turned the picture to Grayscale, then put the contrast all the way up.
That was easy. *bangs head on desk*

I have a few photos I took of myself that I am using for a self portrait project. I want to take these color photos and turn them into black and white. Not gray scales, but the darks to black and the highlights to white. Nothing in between. The effect is that I can basically get a stencil of my face, so I can get an 8x11 picture of my face in only blacks and whites, then cut out the black parts with an exacto knife and make stencils of the 4 images.
Is there a feature that I can do this with?
Thanks.

Yup that works. I hardly ever use the brightness/contrast though, instead I tweak the levels. The process would be pretty much the same though, change it to greyscale and then go from there.
word.
And just in case you guys cared, this is what I made:
then this one. I like the bottom one better because I want to mount that on a canvas but I dont know how I am going to be able to transfer the picture onto the canvas.

LET'S GO COLTS!!!
I have 5 infraction points. What do you have?
Just as another way to acomplish a similar thing, if you use the filter "find edges" and then adjust the levels you can adjust how much detail you have and you will get a slightly different effect but it looks more like a "stencil".
