How to take off white paint on car?

Long story short: what paint does police seizure lots use to mark vehicles? And how do you remove it without damaging your paint?

Long story long: let someone drive my car, they didn't have license, got arrested and my car seized.. Luckily 500 bucks and a couple weeks later I got it back.

The people who work the seizure lot ****ed me over:

odometer went up around 350 miles.. They broke my driver side rear view mirror.. When I drove it home from impound about a block away from departure I noticed smoke was pouring out of hood and into cabin through vents.. And they marked up with white paint everywhere. Pretty awful experience

You sure that stuff didn't happen when this "other person" drove your car? Ive heard tales few and far between of impound lots REALLY screwing with people's cars, but that was mostly if the person ran from the cops or put someone's life in danger, or had a DUI, etc. The whole "getting justice" mentality.

Anyway, to get the paint off, you should be able to buff with a good rubbing compound if it's actually just a paint marker, etc that's basically sitting on top of your factory paint.
