b.o.v has no sound whin shifting gears what could b the problem?

i need help with 02 wrx. the b.o.v dont sound no-matter how much peddle i put down thairs jst no noise! i also have an exaust leak by the turbo could this be the problem for the b.o.v not sounding? any tech tips help.

Well the exhaust leak sure isnt helping your turbo spool so you should fix that, but unless you have put an aftermarket BoV in your car then you dont have one, you have a reserc valve (doesn't vent to the atmosphere) so you dont get the obnoxious noise that your looking for.
