    Quick newbie questions, PLZ HELP

    Hey guys, im new to the subaru world. just bought an 02 wrx, 5 speed. have a few questions,

    When do you check the manual trans fluid? Hot or Cold?
    I have been checking it hot and it seems overill. Is has USC in it right now, but its above F. Should i check it cold? Also is there an overflow where it would spew out underneath the car if its too fill? BC its coming out by the cat.

    How do you remove the shift knob? It has a Short shift with a momo knob, but i need to replcae the knob. How do you remove it?

    Does anyone have a maintence schedule for the 02--03 available?
