04-05 sti scoop on 02 sti

    Hi everyone,
This is my first time on here...
I'm about to buy a 02 sti at the end of october and was thinking of fitting an 04-05 sti scoop on it.. I'm a mechanic buy trade (worked on subarus for years) so cant see it being to hard?? Do you have to mod anything or does it bolt straight on?? does it look good (your thoughts)?? thinking of getting an exhaust as well cos i want that deep crisp note!! any ideas on what brand of exhaust?? will it need a tune to deal with the exhaust cos im pretty sure you have to with the standard wrx?? i want to get the ecutek tune but whether or not i can afford it straight away is another issue..

    04/05 wont fit.

you need an STI replica scoop or a 02-03 JDM sti scoop

Dont do it! They do make replicas of the 04/05 so it will fit in your 02/03, but IMHO it looks terrible. Purchase the jdm or edm 02/03 sti scoop and splitter, it is worth every penny! I found a seller of sti parts in the UK, it cost me around $300 for shipping, the scoop and the splitter.

Yes dont do it. I saw one on a bug eye last weekend. It looks way out of place. The JDM one looks 10x better.

Even if the 04/05 scoop was painted, it does not fit with the car.

In case you didn't know, we didn't receive the STi trim in the states until 2004... that means no Bugeye STi in the USA
