Good to see your around Weasel, had some good news over the weekend though. Uncle Peter is an architect and is designing Sky Scrapers in New York, just recently married Jane who is from NY. and I could be coming over for a while, maybe could be working over there but things are still early in discussion.
Good to hear the weather is getting better. Over here it's still overcast and the summer is yet to kick off. Have you heard anyhting
To be fair he designs lots of things but currently working in NY, as for the car it was serviced by Prodrive UK about 6 weeks ago, and it wasn't cheap either. Maybe it's me just getting used to the acceleration and thats it.
Thing is it's quick to 50mph in second gear as well and quick on the breaks to 0mph in a maters of 2 seconds or so. I suppose getting her to Silverstone will see the real benefits of the car.
I am currently looking at a few minor mod's and the biggest one is taking the top intercooler and moving it to the front and adding a Storm Wide body kit so it looks similar to the 22B.
Can't see me ever selling her so it's a case of when money allows. I'll have to get hold of the graphics for thwe side and email them over to you.
Isn't it sexy or what, the good thing is drop it 45mm get some Super Turismos on the car and you have a one mean looking classic, what would you say is the best spolier ??
Morning lad (and ladies)! Yup...no bank holiday here...got to wait until Memorial Day for ours!
Anyway, those kits are absolutely the mutts - amazing what a difference they make! I can't wait until they start coming up with some nice kit for the '08....just keeping my eyes on the look out right now. Mind you, it'll be a couple of years before I start doing anything cosmetic...performance first
The weather here was fantastic over the weekend - especially yesterday afternoon. I decided to do a little bonding with 'Rexie' so we went for a 50 miles jaunt around the quiet twisties around me. The more I drive this car, the more I love it. I'm still being nice while breaking the engine in but even only pushing no more than 2/3 throttle and <4k I'm making rapid progress. The grip is the bit that makes me smile. Get yourself setup towards the apex and power down - so stable. My only one complaint about the '08 is the excessive body roll but that will soon be sorted with new sway bars.
Is it necessary to have sway bars and a cross brace thingy in the engine bay?
I'm glad the wedding went well - classic event having to use your wedding bands!!!
