I have a bit of time at work on my hands as I have been good and got all my work done already.

Tmann so you liking the new motor then.

Weasel what do you think on an 260 standard close deck engine the increase in BHP with a Nur Spec Exh fitted and with a HKS Induction kit done with cold air feed.

Thanks for doing that Weasel it's getting frustrating having the pics ready to post in the gallery and not being able to do it.

Pretty much the noise of the car won't be an issue to much most of the drives we do are only 1-2 hours there and then back again.

Got be honest though have started looking at decat etc induction kits but really want to get maximum back for money spent.

Have been toying with a large intercooler what do you think ??

Okay so if I am going to invest in a FMIC which would help if you explained that to me what an FMIC stands for I get the IC Intercooler bit.

So what make would be best then ??

I would look at replacing all the other non samco hoses as well just to make sure no leaks arise.

I have also seen a recirculating BOV as well which acts as a dump valve would that affect the way the ecu works??

imho a fmic(front mounted intercooler) is useless unless your planning on making 450+ hp
I would stick to a larger tmic(top mounted intercooler) on your classic RA

As mine is an RA with the intercooler spray can I put on a later STI IC and will it be a straight forward swap !!

I am looking at keeping the car for a long time so will eventually get around to getting everything done on the car. Including the interior with a roll cage etc.

Don't want to be spending money to replace later though

Oaks, obviously its easier to see/compare the differences of the engine bay ref the larger STI tmic over the older classic one.

    -----------------------------------------------------
Now since I have already swapped my classic i know that the larger STI tmic will fit ,my only concern would be the 2 items i have "highlighted" with red arrows. I would see if you have a mate who would be willing to test fit a larger STI tmic first before actually getting one.
