When i first start my car I usually get a reading of 100 psi or so but lately when I start my car its been only going to 78 psi. I checked for leaks and the wiring but everything looks fine.When the car warms up it still reads 30 or so psi. Do you guys think my sending unit is crapping out? its only been 2,000 since i installed it. any feedback will help.

Is it possible there is a pinch in the lines to your sender? Or maybe a clog?
what type do you have mechanical,or electronic. and the colder the weather the higher it will read on start up.and as for the 30 psi that is pretty normal when warm.i have greddy electronic warning guages (metric) and my oil pressure is at7.0 kg/cm2 at start up and drops to 2.0 kg/cm2 when warm . i would not worry about it
