JDM STi Recaro Seats Installed (PICS!!)

So here's pics of my new seats. Sorry there's no pics of the install, I did it at about 11pm under the cover of darkness.

The install was way easy, they bolted right into the holes for the stock seats. I installed two resistors, and BAM!!! -No more airbag warning lights.

The OEM seats weighed about 46lbs. each, including brackets. These weigh about 31lbs. each, with the brackets.

The Recaros feel awesome, they can't even be compared to the stock seats in terms of support. They're actually quite comfortable, considering how tight and firm they are. I'm 6'3" and 170, so my skinny azz fits with no problem. I can see anyone over 210 or so having some problems with the fit in the hip area, however.

They both sit quite a bit lower in the car than the OEM seat. For reference, the height on the Recaros is just a little lower than the lowest position on the OEM seat.

It's hard to tell in the pics, but the STi logo is embroidered.

I ordered them from Kevin at King of Imports, the sale took one month from the day I sent a deposit to the day they got to my door. Easy transaction, wicked good service, and he's a good dude to deal with. Not bad shipping time at all, considering they came from Japan.

Wow, that's awesome. Lumbar support on both seats? that's super sweet.

Bet you paid a pretty penny for those.

They're on their way. Now if we can just get rid of this snow in Connecticut, I can take my snow tires off. They're not so good for Auto-X.

Great pics and nice writeup! Those look really good. I might consider something like that, especially since they sit lower than the oem's. I'm 6'3" also, but i have the moonroof in my car, so the ceiling sits a bit lower and my hair brushes against the top. It annoys the crap outta me!

    thank you, thank you.

hmmm, well. a little north of $2000 shipped. I was totally planning on getting some JDM STi V7 or V8's, but when I saw these installed in an STi, that was it. I had to have them. The plan is to install them in my next car, if I ever get the STi that I want!

They are awesome for taller people like myself, but my 5'7" girlfriend thinks they sit too low for her to be comfortable driving. They really are low, but not too low to be unsafe for anyone over 5'10" or so.

Easy, they just sit on their enormous wangs. The females are kinda screwed though.

They have RHD so the passenger seat on his is height-adjustable.
